What do you think of 'Mixed Marriages'?
Funny thing I learned not so long ago is that the Indonesian Law only defines 'mixed marriages' as those between Indonesian citizens and foreigners.
It addresses the issue of marriage between individuals of different religions in another article. And I have to say it's kind of discriminatory, i.e. it's easiest if both are Muslims. And even though Kantor Urusan Agama (KUA) literally means Office of Religious Affairs, it only deals with Muslim marriages. Anyway, in general what do you guys think about inter-religious marriages or relationship? Did you ever have a girlfriend or boyfriend of a different religion and then decided to break up because of it? Do you agree with inter-religious relationships? How do you think it could work out?

I believe all religions is for a good cause......
So...I think is no problem "mixed marriage" as long as they respect each other....

Gw pake basa kampung aja, ga majalah kan ? *sbodo ahk Bagi gw, agama itu prinsip. Ga bisa ditawar-tawar. Jgn sampai keyakinan ini dikalahkan hanya krn emosi dan ego pribadi. Mungkin bagi sebagian dr mrk yg gi mabok cinta, akan tertutup mata batinnya utk menyadari hal ini. Coba dipikir ulang deh. Nikah itu bukan utk satu dua tiga kali bukan ? Jgn manis didepan, pait diblakang. Ksian kan klo kalian punya anak nantinya. Jgn krn ego trus ngorbanin keluarga n calon keluarga kalian yes Be save on earth n hereafter

Well,,, honestly,,, until now I havent believed yet that a mixed marriage could works,,,
Well, at least it's from my point of view,,, I have a foreign girlfriend which has never been to Indo and she couldnt even speak Indo at all,,, Even though our religion is the same,,, it is still,,, there are many different cultures which seperate us,,, That's the main thing,,, Secondly,,, My mom and dad can't even talk to her and vice versa,,, becoz my parents can't speak english,,, therefore they can't communicate each others if I'm not around,,, There's a lot of missunderstanding if they can't communicate properly,,, And yes there's a lot of things that I cant explain here about the different cultures,,, Thus that's why I'm still not sure if mixed marriages could work,,, Last edited by D-Sky; 4 March 2009 at 15:36.

The color of one's skin never make them evil. It's the inside of the person we should be aware of. Not their skin color, not the cultural part and not the religion differences. Some times your own people from your own religion is one of your worst enemy.
So, I would say, go for it!

Whenever you wish to comunicate with your GOD religions is the best gadget.but if you want to comunicate with other human being use cellphone, intenet,smoke ,morse code... whatever, but dont use religions
